Cava Dinner 2015 – Comments

Hi Col,
I need to tell you how successful was the cava tasting last night. Everything combined to make it a complete success. First, the luxurious ambience of the Swiss Hotel; the professionalism of the waiting staff; the skill of the chef in producing fabulous food; your inspired tutelage and comments (I especially liked the way you trained the diners to cheer every time you mentioned cava and boo each time you mentioned prosecco); and last, but certainly not least, the generosity of your friends at DO Cava. Please pass on our appreciation. We tasted some wonderful cavas which complemented the food beautifully. Yet another highly successful evening and tasting organised by you  –  very many thanks.
Cheers, Mick and Ros

Cava Dinner 2015 – Comments

Good Morning Colin,
Everyone at our table enjoyed the evening very much.
The food was a step up from the last tasting at the Swiss Hotel in my opinion.   The appetiser, cod and lamb were all particularly good.   The pairing was not something I could picture in my mind, and therefore wanted to try, and am glad I did.
I was not a big fan of Cava, preferring champagne.   The evening saved us a bit of money actually as I was planning to buy a few bottles of Dom Perigon which Carrefour have on offer at the moment tomorrow but after trying Gran Reserva Cava for the first time will be going over to Teulada to source this instead at about 30% of the price!
I’ll get the photos over to you later.  I think with the ones you took, you will be well covered.
Kind Regards,
Neil
